53 day challenge

Hi all! I know I haven't been posting much and this post may not interest many but we are nearing the half way point of this fall semester, and I am falling behind on my goal.  I have renewed my goal and I am giving myself a 53-day challenge. First let me start be explaining what and why. Some of you may know that I am a Court Reporting student.  I am at my last couple speeds, nearing the end. once we finish all of our speeds, we qualify for a State test, and from there, once you pass it, you can finally be a working reporter! They have about 4 or 5 Stats Tests a year. I had origonally made a goal to qualify for the upcoming state test which is in the second week of January but you have to qualify for it by the 30th of November. That is where this 53 day challenge comes in.  I do not know if it is possible to get my last four tests done by then.. but I am going to really live, eat, and breath on my machine to try to make that happen.  I am in my 200's speed. I have to get two tests in this speed., which I feel REALLY close to getting and then I will move into my 225's speed and I have to get two "mock tests" which consists of a 180, 200, and 225 speed test all in one. I have to pass two of those,  they mimic the State test. On top of that I am taking a english and medical terminology class and I am interning.  I will be putting interning on the back burner and just intern on my day off and during the Christmas break, since we have a month off, I will finish my hours then.  Everyday, starting today, instead of relaxing and watching tv or spending my time on the computer, I will be on my machine from the time I get home from school until I go to bed writing to the Tv and also things online that we have to practice with, while also building my dictionary.  I think I can make this happen.  I'm hoping sharing it with you-all will help me with the extra push I need.  I will report weekly and update you-all on any news I have that week of if I typed any tests, passed any tests, or anything like that.

Hi all! Today I am linking up with  Wild & Precious on where were you on 9/11

It is honestly hard to believe that 9/11 was ten years ago.  On 9/11 I was about 11-years-old in the 6th grade.  The day started out like any other day. Woke up, went to school, went through the morning's classes and then comes lunchtime.  Walking into the lunchroom I could just feel that the atmosphere was very strange, unlike every other day.  Being so young I can remember some details like what I was wearing or what I was eating.. I assume that I got my lunch and sat down at my class table.  Once sitting down there were so many rumors going around.  You saw kid after kid after kid being called out of the lunchroom to leave, that their parent had come to pick them up. That in itself lead us to believe that something was going on.  Then there were rumors going around that our school was going to be bombed.  Can you imagine the fear?  Hearing a rumor that your school was going to be blown up?  Now that I think about it, I cant believe that was said but I think it stemmed from parents informing the school and kids overhearing but not hearing the whole story..who knows.  Anyways, lunchtime ended and it was time to go to class.  Our teacher would meet us outside of the lunchroom each day to take us back to class, and there she was.  We stopped at the restroom on the way to class and then and there is where we found out what had happened.  We weren't told much. Just that some planes had been flown in some buildings and that it was a terrorist attack.
I get scared very easily so just hearing that really scared me.  The rest of the day we just stayed in our one class, we didn't switch and all we did was sit in class and watch TV every now and then on the coverage, but they would only show us a little.  Kids kept being pulled from class to leave.  I would say about half of my class was left that day, me being one of them.  We all seriously thought we were going to die. We were so young and had never heard of anything like this.  Everytime someone would leave we would seriously tell them bye and we loved them and hopefully we'd see them again.
Once school was over, I had to go to daycare.  Since us(5th and 6th graders) were old enough to know about it, we talked about it with the teachers who came to pick us up from the daycare center but we were told not to mention it to the younger kids when we got to the daycare center.  Which made sense because they were too young to be finding out from anyone but their parents.  After that it is pretty much a blur.  My mom came and picked us up after she got off work and when we got home she told my brother and we talked about it.  As much as i hated watching the coverage, I was glued to the TV.  And as much as it scared me, I couldn't help but watch.  I just remember being scared for a long time about it.  I didn't personally know anyone in New York or Pennsylvania but a friend of mines Aunt lived in New York and worked in one of the Towers and that day she just so happened to call in that she would not be going into work that day.  I just remember feel sad and scared and helpless because I was sitting at home while all those people were going through H3ll. I eventually became not so scared about it. I will never forget that day and it sickens me to see it on TV specials, to see what these people did to our country and to see the people and hear their voices on TV of the hijackers, just makes me sick. But I am forever grateful for our men and women in our service for protecting us and will always pray for those men and women and children who died that day and for the everyday people who became heros that day.  It is amazing how much of a tradegy it was but could bring our Nation together so much.

Have you watched any specials on it? I have. I watched one and just one thing that sticks out to me is one man, who had a wife, became a hero that day.  He saved 77 lives, but lost his own when the building collapsed. I know there were many many other heroes that day.

.   One of my happiest moments ever was  probably when Michael bought me our first furbabie, Scout. It wasn't a suprise because we went toegther to get him but at the time I couldn't believe he was so willing to get me the dog I wanted especially for the price. We won't go into that. haha. Scout has been the love of our life ever since! 

2.  Summer is wedding season and weddings are   amazing! I have only been to one wedding this summer and it looks like it will be the only one but I love to attend weddings! They are so beautiful and I really believe in marriage. 

 

3.  This summer   has been a wonerful summer. I really haven't been up to much since I have been on school all summer but Michael got the opportunity to go to Italy which it stunk for him to be gone for a whole 5 weeks but it was worth is and I'm glad he got to enjoy it and I have really just been doing school non stop.

 

4.  My summer food of choice has been  really I don't have seasons that I eat certain food but I guess this summer I have really been eating just american food the most!

5.  My summer uniform has been   shorts, t-shirts, and casual dresses

Dear FB.. aka Facebook,
Because you clearly can consume my time on your nonsense, I have decided for the next 2 weeks, I will not be logging in! I have a goal to meet that is going to require some attention and that is the time slot I am giving myself. Maybe I will be off longer, but I will hopefully be reporting that I have met my goal before the 2 weeks are up. buh bye!

lol. Yes, you read that right- I am not goint to be logging into facebook for about 2 weeks. I am in my 180 speed in Court Reporting and I need to get 2 tests to be in my 200's which I am hoping to reach by the 17th. Although i feel verrrryyy close to getting them, I am going to be needing to spend more time practicing on ym machine that way I can get them pronto!

How was your weekend? I cannot wait to get back to school this week- I know, I sound crazy! BUT I am just so pumped and ready to get these tests that I don't have any time to waste.

I didn't do much this weekend, just relaxed for the most part- perfect weekend for me! Besides Mr. Charming being in Italy still.

Happy Saturday quick post!

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. I had a great friday, Mr. Charming's sister had her graduation friday night so I attended that with his family and other than that my weekend has been pretty calm and relaxing. Definately counting down the days until Michael gets back BUT still have about 25 more days :(  but I have a feeling these next 3 1/2 weeks are going to fly by. Between school and a trip one weekened, it'll be here in no time.

well I just wanted to post a little something before I went to bed. I will hopefully have something to post about tomorrow, but, we will see! Goodnight y'all!

Short Shopping Haul!

Happy Friday everyone! Lets see- today I went to Party City and got a whole bunch of decorations and what not for Stacies Graduation party ( Mr. Charming's sister ) after that I decided to do a little shopping around for myself. In my last post I mentioned that I have been loving dresses and I felt it only necessary to get some summer dresses and a good pair of shorts ( without holes or scratch mark things ) so I headed off to the shopping center.

First stop was Charlotte Russe. I normall don't buy tooo much from here but still go in and look. Today I found a few things that I loved but didn't get.. for now!

First up is this lovely dress! excuse the bad picture... :) Heres the link to the dress on the store website. I REALLY loved this dress and this picture just doesnt do it justice. Since I was on the look for summer dresses ( casual cute ) I decided to pass on this number. I am hoping to go back soon or order it online and purchase it or maybe Mr. Charming will ;)  haha. *wink wink*  I''m not sure hot to describe it  its obviously a black sweetheart stop and the bottom is like this light goldish color and its kind of shiny. LOVE IT!

I also love this belt below. it has four snappies in the back and I loved it at the store but not loving the picture on the webiste. I decided to pass on it since I have quite a few belts and really am not in need of one just right now!

Now on to some of the things I opted for....

I needed a pair of shorts that did not have any holes or scratch marks on them so when I stopped in to Charlotte Russe and saw that all their shorts were just $15, I was hoping t I o find a pair and I did! I found these! As for most things I do not like the picture as much online but I really like them! not too short but short enough and have a nice look to them and only $15.. you can't beat that!

Next stop was F21. I decided to go to the smaller F21 and surrounding stores ( it's a give and take ) They had a few great promo deals & I am pretty sure they are having a lot more sales going on this weekend and on Memorial Day.

I decided to get THIS dress in both red and teal. I LOVE these! they fit so well and are just soo cute and comfy! I will definately be wearing these a lot!

Last but not least I stopped at Target and got a dress from there too but I cant post the link to it, sorry! Maybe tomorrow Ill take a quick picture with it on but its super cute too! I love these because you can wear them all spring and summer and I will get a lot of wear out of them!

American Idol

The VERY FIRST season of American Idol, many many years ago, I watched and followed along with but after that I just never really got into it. This season I got into it, especially since a boy I knew from school was on the show, so I have been watching all season. I really love Steven Tyler! and you can't forget Jlo. But Steven Tyler is my fav!   anyways!  Who is your fav to win in all tonight? Lauren or Scotty?
I have to be honest, I like them both so I am not sure who is going to win it all. yikes! They both have a country style and I love it. I have always loved

Scotty but just thought his voice wasn't strong like some of the past contestants

 and Lauren amazes me sometimes. I guess we will see!

Wishlist from F21

I have always liked dresses BUT in the last maybe year or so, I have been LOVING dresses. I love that you can wear a dress to basically anything and it can be casual, or dressy but you still look really cute and girly! and if you know me- you know I'm girly. But, don't worry, I can kind of hang with the boys. kind of. Anyways. I haven't been up to much lately. If you've read my ranting two posts prior to this, you will know that Mr. Charming left for Italy on Saturday. He is currently in Rome, has been since Saturday but is now on his way to another city. Since really most of my friends but a few are family members of michaels family, I haven't been up to much without him here. I have a graduation this weekend and next weekend and I start school up again next week, so I hope that starts making time fly! anyways... here are just a few of the things I have on my WANT list from F21 this week. Maybe I'll do a weekly post. we'll see!  I need topics to blog about anyways!

I think that's all I will add for today. I could put a billion more things. I always seem to find WAY more online than in the store. does that happen to you? maybe its just me. haha

Short & Sweet!

Sooooo I know my Mister Charming has only been gone 2 days now, and he will still be gone a million more days BUT I miss him already! We have never gone more than maybe a week and a half without seeing eachother, and whats even harder is our only communication is when he gets online and we have some time to talk. :( lol sorry Im ranting here but I miss him! I think once I start back up with school in a week that time will start flying by since I will be busy and I have a goal to meet before he comes back. BUT I reallllly reallllly wish I was in Italy right now with him!  

plus- his boys miss him. ( our furbabies- Scout and Toby! )

Only another..38 more days. then he'll be here but within the next day or two after that we leave for a few days for fourth of July Holiday.   atleast its together!

Sadly, I will not be there! booo :(  I just dropped Mr. Wonderful off at the airport a few hours ago. Yep- He is going to Italy! He got chosen to study abroad for a wole 5 weeks in Italy with 11 other students from his architecture program at school. It is definately an awesome oppotunity for him but I still wish I could be there! I sure am going to miss him, hopefully time will fly by fast! we have definately never been apart this long in the 5 years we've dated. His plane hasn't even taken off yet and I miss him a ton already :) hehe.

more to come in the next few weeks, im sure! :) I'll have a lot of free time..maybe. I start school in a week and I'm planning on helping out at his grandparents garden a lot to take up time!

Royal Wedding post-

I know I am a little late on the whole Royal wedding post but I figured better late than never :) I will admit that I did wake up early to tune in to watch the wedding. I got up at about 3:40, took a shower and layed back in bed and watched. I was really never THAT interested in Kate and Wills but a week or two before the wedding and actually watching things and hearing about everything, I was hooked! I reall enjoyed watching all the prewedding shows they had on.

Ummmmmm, can you say STUNNING!? 

I absolutely loved her dress! Being Catholic, some of the Churches make you cover your shoulders during the wedding ceremony and this is such a perfect dress for that.I loved everything about it!

How could we forget the kiss? Sure it was short, but so sweet! Actually, when I was watching it live, I saw them kiss and then I guess I was so tired that I just layed down and slept so I didn't see their second kiss, but, today I was watching it on TLC and saw it. how sweet. What a fairytale wedding!

I wish there was more to say about it, which there is, but I really just loved everything about it!

Todays topic is to post a picture of "THE LOOK" that your precious furbabie gives you. I don't know why but I am having a hard time finding some pictures, but they sure do give me a handful of looks all the time! I will definately start taking more pictures!

This look (which really only Scout is giving) is the " Did I just hear you say that we're going on a walk" look. lol :) They LOVE their walks. they go crazy. I will definately have to post a video one day.

I have been meaning to post some new things that I got the other week, but, I have not taken pictures yet, so, I will either take them tonight or tomorrow and hopefully they'll appear on the blog tomorrow :) we'll see!

ROYAL WEDDING TIME!

Hey everyone! I wonder how many of you have gotten up to watch. It is 4:07 my time right now, and i got up about twenty minutes ago to shower and watch the wedding. Prince William and Harry are about to make there way in. SO excited! :)  post to follow the wedding, obviously :)

Royal Wedding, new bathing suit

I don't know about you but I am really excited  to see the Royal wedding this friday! At first, I wasn't too interested in it, but only because I guess I really hadn't heard much about it, but lately, I have been really interested in it. After watching quite a few shows, I am hooked. I think it is so fascinating. I am really excited to see what Kates dress looks like. It's going to be interesting to see what it looks like because she is very modern but yet it still is a royal wedding, so I guess we will see! I also think Kate has great style. What did you think about the Kate & Wills movie that came on TLC? I thought it was cute, but obviously not everything in it was completely true. I love it though, it is such a sweet and romantic movie. I think that is a big reason why I am so interested because for one, I loveeeeeeeee weddings! ( being a wedding planner is definately one of my dream jobs, but I'll probably never be one!)  Are any of you planning on waking up early to watch?

I know that there is a way to find items of clothes that she has worn and you can buy them, do you know where??  I know I have seen it posted where you can find out what store she got them from but I don't remember anymore. hmm. I love her style!

About a week and a half ago I went to the galleria to do some shopping. Mr. Wonderful gave me some money to buy me a bathing suit from VS that I saw online BUT I hate not trying on things first so I thought I would go there and see what they have and this is what I came out with. I am not sure if I want to keep the top or try to find another one but I love the bottoms

these are the bottoms that I got. In the picture, they are a pink color, but mine are a lilac color. LOVE them. the back of them they are like scrunched.... picture below will show the back. I think they are pretty flattering. just love them!

And below is the top that I got the same day form VS, but, like I said, I am not sure if I want to keep it or go back and get another top..hmm...

what do you think, do you like the top? or do you think maybe I should search around some more?

What I'm loving! & Palm Sunday

Here is Texas it has been warming up and can I just say, I am loving it! This weekends weather has inspired me to add some more clothes to my closet :) I love wearing dresses so I don't know why it has taken me this long to come to this conclusion but I am definately loving spring/summer dresses. Like simple casual cute ones! :) I attended one of my friends wedding showers this weekend and I stepped outside to see how the weather was and immediately thought how awesome it would be to wear a nice sundress. I think it is a good option other than the regular shorts. I just recently have bought me about 4 new pairs of shorts( a white pair, two greyish colors and a blue jean pair)  I do have atleast 4 pair of blue jeans shorts already but they are more for the beach ( they're somewhat short) so I can't exactly wear them everywhere. anyways, I want to share some dresses that I've seen online from F21 that I am wanting! I also STILL need to go find the bathing suit I am wanting to get from VS or just order it from online, and also I want to possibly get a romper, just not sure what color I should get. decisions. descisons.


-LOVEEE this dress & this color. I have seen it in the store but have not tried it on. I think this would be so cute! I even think this could be a good dress for a summer wedding. WARNING: this dress is somewhat sheer so it would need something under it, IMO.

- I love love love love lace dresses. I don't know what it is about them but I love lace! and I don't think you can go wrong with a white dress. I love how you can keep this dress casual and even dress it up.

- loveeee the colors on this dress!

- I love how this dress is just so simple. You can really spruce it up with some accessories and maybe even a belt or a fun sandal.

- I also love this romper! and for only 9.99 I think it is a steal! It also comes in black and a  baby bluish color. I am not sure what color I would like it in but I love this red!

I have definately found for my body type, since I am short (5'1) and petite I have found that simple works best for me. I find that whenever I put too much on or just too fussy, it doesn't work for me.

Anyone seen any super cute bathing suits? I have seen some that I like but I am not sure. most of the VS stores near me carry a small collection of their swim line so I have not been able to find one. I am thinking of maybe going to the Galleria or Memorial City Mall sometime soon to try to see if they have a bigger selection. I would definately prefer to try them on before buying or atleast being able to try on the different styles and if I have to order a different color online, that would be fine.

Well on a side note, I am more than a month out fo my surgery now and am doing great. Physcial therapy is going good. I get my measurments taken tomorrow and Tuesday I go back to the doctor so he can see how I am doing. I have about 2 more weeks of therapy left. I actually somewhat enjoy it so it will be only a little sad to not go anymore. One of the main reasons is I love listening to the old timers there. They are so funny and entertaining!

Randomness Thursday

Hey everyone! Welll I hope everyone had a great Thursday :)  soooo I havent blogged in a little over a week because I have just been so exhausted. Not because I have been really doing a lot but with my knee healing
 and therapy and what not I seem to get tired from all that. Anyways! I wish I had something to blog about. Are there any link ups for Thursdays????   Well I do have a couple things to blog about but I will get to those in a couple days. Soooo for today I will just share some things that I am thankful for :)

1.Mister Wonderful!

                        ( Picture of us when we were in highschool more than 4 years ago when he came to the game and suprised me :)    )   I don't think I can say enough about how thankful and blessed I am for this  man right here. We have been dating for 5 years and have never looked back. He has definately made me a better person and our life together is SOOOO amazing. He understands me and will do anything for me.I love you :)

2.LIFE.  I definately do not have a perfect life even though people who dont really know me may see that it appears I have it pretty good, which I do. But I have definately gone through a lot with my family. But at the end of the day my family may not be perfect, but I realize how blessed I am to live in the house I do, have the things I have and I realize how many people have it so much worse than me. My father is going through a tough time in his life right now and just seeing his life struggles makes me feel so blessed and makes me realize how minute my problems are.


those are just a couple :)  One more thing is that Yesterday was my first furbabies 3rd Birthday!

( Scout & his Daddy (Mr. Wonderful) on our trip to Port O Connor a couple summers ago. He LOVES his Daddy more than anything! :)    ) Happy 3rd Birthday Scoutie! :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Hey everyone! I think " what I'm loving wednesday" exists, doesn't it? I know one of the days is " What I'm Loving" just not positive which one and I don't feel like finding it! haha :)

I also want to say that I think i forgot to mention, this past Sunday was my 21st Birthday and also it was mine and Mr. Wonderfuls 5 years Anniversary :) whoop whoop! And I don't want to get too mushy BUT I just want to say how blessed I am to have you babe. It is truely a blessing!  Love you!
